Start Yachting with OffshoreScotland Practical Sail Training RYA Course at our Sea School in Scotland
The RYA recognised Start Yachting course is an excellent short introduction to sailing run by an experienced OffshoreScotland skipper. This two-day course introduces novices to sail cruising by a fully qualified instructor and by the end of your two days you will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework and be aware of safety on board. OffshoreScotland is a Royal Yachting Association recognised sea school providing a range of RYA sail cruising courses, milebuilding passages, skippered charter and bareboat charter from our yacht base in Scotland.
We recognise that any sailing newcomer might have fears and worries about what lies in front of them. But our RYA trained Yachtmaster Instructors are there not just to mechanically deliver a training programme but to unlock the door to the magical new world of sailing, firstly in Scottish west coast waters and then further afield as confidence and ability grows.
Every OffshoreScotland skipper and instructor always sails the extra mile to help a novice struggling with any part of the course because they are sailing enthusiasts and it is so important to lay a good foundation of boating knowledge, ability and confidence, right at the start of what could become a lifelong adventure and passion.
